Insurance and Fees
INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT
Currently, I am participating in several managed care insurance panels; however, this may change in the future. If I am on your panel, I will contact the insurance company to clarify what your benefits are and inform you accordingly. If I am not on your panel, I will fill out forms and provide you with whatever assistance I can in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled; however, you are responsible for full payment of my fees. In the event I am not on your insurance panel, it is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers.
PROFESSIONAL FEES
Unless paying with insurance, my hourly fee is based upon a sliding scale given below. Standard fees are $125.00 an hour for most services, although marriage / couples therapy is $150.00 for a 90 minute session. In addition to weekly appointments, I charge this amount for other professional services you may need, though I will break down the hourly cost if I work for periods of less than one hour. Other services include additional report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 10 minutes, consulting with other professionals with your permission, preparation of records or treatment summaries for another professional, and the time spent performing any other professional services you request. If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for all of my professional time, including preparation and transportation costs, even if I am called to testify by another party. Because of the difficulty of legal involvement, I charge $150.00 per hour for preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding.
